We put the tree up this weekend

I managed to put up the tree this weekend so we can now enjoy it for the upcoming holiday.

My son and Mugen had a lot of fun playing in the empty box where we store the tree.

As you can see the box is more fun than the actual tree.

I have no voice

Well I lost my voice last Thursday night and I have yet to get a really good working one back. I blame the fact that I really don't feel bad and I am not contagious and I can't keep my mouth shut long enough for my vocal chords to repair themselves. On a good note I am making progress on knitted Christmas gifts and I finished my sister's yesterday. Soon I will have pictures to show.

Halloween

I am sharing some Halloween photos and also my photo of my most recently finished project.

Mugen makes an excellent Hot Dog and we are thinking of making both dogs hot dogs next year.

Here are my boys. Shannon, Cameron, my nephew Anson, and Mugen ! I just love them all together.

And I was a cat (with purple ears) This is my cardigan I just finished and yes it's purple. I am enjoying this sweater and wish I could just knit a few more of these faster.

Today is a good day...

We got the fence in and I am picking out buttons for my cardigan (sweater). I can't wait to see Mugen running around the yard like a crazy.

Colds are no fun

I am behind on my knitting, house stuff, and Mugen is not happy with me. I have had a cold since Monday and I am just now feeling better. So my knitting has fallen behind and I haven't been able to walk Mr Mugen in the manner he likes. Oh well he will forgive me by Friday.

Lazy dog day

The rain must being bring out the nappy time with Mugen and Duke today.

Mugen spent most of the day going from laying down by the computer to laying down by the couch. I finally got a picture of the both of them together. Normally when I try I have to go get the camera and then one of them (normally Mugen) follows me and the moment is over. Aren't they a funny pair!

Trying to knit really really fast

I realized that it is October and I have less than 3 months to get presents knitted and finished for Christmas. I am also in the middle of 2 sweater projects that I am trying to have done before it really gets cold. So my poor puppies have to put up with me knitting during TV and no major petting marathons right now. Don't worry dogs Hopefully I will be done with one of these soon and you two will get more babying.

Knitting the beginning again

This weekend was a wonderful rainy weekend to start a new project. So in my excitement I started it and didn't read the pattern as well as I should have. So I have been knitting on the wrong needles and now Monday my lunch is spent taking my new project apart and starting over again. One day I will learn to READ the pattern before starting.

Getting ready for a convention

I am starting to pick out clothes and realized that I am picking out all purple shirts except for my Hogwarts costume. I think that I am a purple addict. I just picked out purple yarn last week for a new project I will start soon. If I there is a purple anonymous please let me know. I already miss Mugen.

Last Day of Agility Class

We have survived and now I get to take a break from all that driving around Nashville. I did get some video of Mr Mugen taking down the teeter. He just loves it.

Dirty Laundry detector

Here is how I know things are dirty in the house. Mugen finds dirty clothes and towels to be very interesting. If I think a towel is dirty I will now put it in the floor and ask him, and if it is he starts doing this.

Happy 1 year anniversary!!

I have realized that as of Monday we have had Mr Mugen in our family for a year! So that makes Mugen 18 months old on Tuesday! We celebrated by him going to agility and going over the see saw like a pro! I also think his favorite is the A Frame and whenever we even get close to it he has to go on it. That's my Mugen! Thanks Laura and Rick for letting us have such a great dog to add to the family! Here are some pictures from a year ago when he was still a wee little pup!

Duke's back on medication

My husband just came back from the vet and we are going to put Mr Duke on major allergy drugs. We have 3 months to see how he does. If there is little to no improvement we will have to let him go. Hopefully he will do well on the medication and we will have a dog again.

Projects

My sisters project is almost done! I only need to crochet the edging and it will be finished. 

Also this weekend I am knitting up some Jayne Cobb hats. If you have ever watched Joss Wheadon's Firefly then you know what I am talking about. My son is wearing the first example of the Jayne Cobb hat. I am loving it! I might have to make one for the dog.

Duke is going to the Doctor on Monday

Well we have decided to go back to the dermatologist on Monday to see what we can do about Duke. It's been a year since we started on the allergy shots and over a year since he as been on an antibiotic shot that was made for his blood type.  We thought he was getting better then the warm weather started in March and he is just as bad as last year. In fact I think that he is worse because now he is getting very mean about things that we have to do like nail clippings.  We are a bit lost on what to do for him. Oh well I might as well show a picture of the little guy. Here he his with Mugen taking away Mugen's bone in February when he felt a little better and was acting more like a dog than he had been in months. 

Mr Mugen the barker..

We still do well in agility class when he decides to not bark at the other dogs. I am also looking into a class by a trainer Dogs and Kat. She has a relaxed rover class for dogs who get "over excited" by other dogs and people. Maybe this will work.

Friday!

It's Friday and I am ready for the weekend. I think that I might have to treat my son to a Sonic dessert tonight. I will also be working hard to take Mugen out a lot so he doesn't bark so much while on a leash. He does great in doggie day care, visiting people, and dogs off a lead. But we just need for him to realize that when he is on a lead he can ignore the dogs and runners and I would be very happy. Maybe I am just too soft of an owner and I spoil him too much. Oh well, positive training here I go.

Here is my sweater in progress

Here is the back of what I am making for my sister, it is a sleeveless top and I hope that it will turn out well,  because people just don't turn 40 every year. 

Hopefully it will turn out better than our tomatoes. Our only tomato to make it to almost ripe and a deer took a big bite out of it 2 nights ago, I was so sad I had to take a picture of it.

This weekend was wonderful

Me and the family had a wonderful weekend. The weather was perfect, Mugen got lots of outside time and walks, we saw Harry Potter, and I finished the back of my sister's birthday present. The only bad part of the weekend was that it had to end. I will pictures of my sisters present up tonight I hope. It seems no matter how fast I can finished a knit project I am always behind a few.

Well Mugen has made it through 2 agility classes now and I must say, he is great, when he isn't barking. I have a video of him and I'll try and get it up.
