Running like crazy

The snow in Nashville has slowed things down enough to where I can catch up. Mr. Solo is now over 25 pounds and is currently in the process of being Mr Alpha-Pants to Mugen. Mugen is confused but is still trying to be good natured about it. There are more battles at the house now so I spend my time telling them to be nice. They don't hurt each other, but they sound like they are killing each other if I don't see them when they start at it. Any good advice for calming this down or do I just need to wait until the pecking order is resolved?

I have been knitting

So I have disappeared into the world of knitting and haven't posted in way too long.

I have finished a hat

The dogs a being very nice and putting up with my love of knitting. Also they like being in the pictures.

I am a horrible dog parent

Working from home today

Cameron has the creeping crud, aka allergies, so he is resting and I am working remotely. These are my work mates currently:

Mugen is not amused

Solo has found a new way to chew on his bone.

And chewing it under my chair is awesome.

The dogs really like peanut butter.

I get peanut butter for the guys in the big jar since they tend to go through it. So when this one was low we let them have some fun. I have videos,but blogger doesn't like me right now.

Solo is losing teeth!

As you can see we have evidence of tooth loss.

He doesn't seem to mind the loss at all though.

Solo discovered the yarn

When Mugen was a puppy he liked to mess up some yarn.

Solo is a lot like his older brother.

They don't chew the yarn they just like to knot it up out of its ball and into a big pile of mess. At least I can still use the yarn. Silly pups.

Wow what happened to the last week?

Well I have finally gotten my Paws it forward packages out the door and I figured that it took me a week to do so.
Solo did make the discovery this week that merino wool yarn is fun to mess up (Pictures to come) and that the down command is to be ignored. I now remember that it took forever for Mugen to do the down command and Iwonder if it's a family thing or a Cardigan thing.

We got our lovely package today from Taryn at Tail of Two Cardis . The Squeaky Kong wubba is a total hit and they fought for it for a good 10 mins. As you can see the puppy ended up with the goods.

Finished a sweater, finally

I realized that i have been working on larger projects than normal and also I just didn't knit in May so I finally finished a project, a summer sweater! Here it is, it is my first serious lace project and I even got to take pictures of it at my local yarn store Bliss Yarns.

Solo had a good time

Solo got to hang out with other dogs at our conformation practice and I get to see what we need to learn in order to even think about the ring. Also I got to meet other people who are just starting in this like me. It's like most things, most everyone was nice and informative and only a couple of people that were strange. I am in quite a few geek circles in the area so I know these types of people. Nice but weird! I personally find them entertaining and it gives me stories to tell my husband when I get back.
Of course I always wonder if I am the weirdo in other circles, hmmm.

First conformation class

Well I am bravely going where I have not before. I am taking Solo to a conformation class. I hope he has fun and that it's okay that we are in a collar and leash. Oh well I guess if they are not nice I don't have to go back since it's free anyway from the Nashville Kennel Club, but I am guess that we will have a good time.

Puppies are good and tired today.

We spent a lovely Saturday at Laura's house so she could take a look at Mr Solo's progress. (Yes he looking more and more like his dad Lego every day!)

We also had our last puppy class so I made my husband come and take more pictures.

Solo knows how to sit!

This is Solo's "girlfriend" Lucy. He thinks she is the bees knees.

Cameron is helping train Solo too. Also it shows that Solo's sweet speckled belly is starting to be covered with Cardi belly fur, which makes me a little sad that my baby is starting to become a dog.

2nd vet visit and an interesting comment.

We have made it through our 2nd vet visit and didn't even notice the shots today. He is a big old 13.8 lbs and everyone can't help but smile and pet him when he comes in the door. I still have to keep on cleaning those ears, I think he dips his head in dirt everyday.

I did get an interesting comment from one of the vet techs I haven't seen very much. She told me that there is another lady that comes there with a Cardigan, a blue merle that is also super sweet. Oh wait that's me. I knew when Mugen started there he was the only Cardi, and now with 2 I am being introduced to myself from a vet tech. So now I guess I am the crazy cardi lady, oh well at least it's not crazy cat lady?

Solo keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Mr. Solo and Mr. Mugen are doing well. Solo was at his 3rd class last night and is still a super star! We have gone a week without an accident so far! He is doing really well and we are starting to expand his area in the house. I can't believe that he is 14 weeks old today! Also on another good note, he is also starting to let us sleep past 5:30 am. 6am is the latest but it is so much better than 5 am. I will have pictures as soon as I upload them to the computer.

1st puppy class picks and Solo's bunny

Solo's 1st puppy class was on Monday and I have just now had the chance to upload them.

Report on Solo's 1st puppy class

Mr Solo had his first puppy class yesterday and did so well. The only really surprising thing is that he really didn't play with the other puppies. As you all have seen he really likes to wrestle with his brother Mugen and they will play until he passes out on an air vent.

Class he preferred to stay under my chair and look at the puppies and occasionally sniff and lick another puppy. Is this my dog? How can the dog who loves to gnaw on me be so shy and timid in class? Oh well I guess the Cardi is coming out. We'll see next week.

Solo went to the vet this week and I remembered the camera! He is super healthy and I had to keep a watch on him, because the vet assistants would run off with him to show to everyone at the clinic! So we will just say that he is a popular little pup there.

I am trying to update as often as possible because I think little Solo gets bigger everytime I look at him. I noticed last night that his nose seems a bit longer and just a little bit bigger everywhere. Also him and Mugen are picking up really cute play habits that I need to catch on video. So this evening I should be able to take the computer away from my husband to put up new stuff.

Solo Day 3

I am now in the process of getting Mr. Solo out in the world, well the people world that is. So today we went to the pet store and he got to lick on people and have new people love on him.
